2013 Fantasy Football PPR Wide Receiver Rankings

The 2013 fantasy football season is fast approaching and the BretskyBall.com team is here to guide you through the most wonderful time of the year: draft season!

Today, we present our set of fantasy football PPR wide receiver rankings for the 2013 season. The influence on PPR on the batch of wide receivers is an interesting case to consider. Unlike the running backs, receivers need targets to hold any value at all! As a result, the top of the heap in our ppr receiver rankings is going to look very similar for standard formats. Of our top-5 receivers in standard scoring, three reside in the top five of targets from 2012 (Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, A.J. Green).

Still, there is value to gain for a number of receivers who thrive on volume. Wes Welker is the obvious choice to jump in the rankings and many are also eyeing up his replacement in New England, Danny Amendola, as a player with huge PPR upside. Randall Cobb strikes us as an interesting option after snagging 80 balls last season on just 104 targets. That 76.9 catch% was second only to Brandon Stokely for receivers with more than 20 targets. With a bigger role–and more targets–coming in 2013, we expect Cobb to return top-10 value in these formats.
